Kids Say the Funniest Things

The other night the girls were having bad manners like burping and farting and we reminded them to have good manners, Rob said, "You need to have good manners like princesses." Elizas replied, "We're not princesses dad, we're rascals." We started laughing so hard because we do always call them little rascals.
So Liberty is so close to being completely potty trained and the whole family is constantly reminding her that if she goes 7 days without an accident then we can all go to Chuck E. Cheese. Well lately she thinks she is so hilarious because at the dinner table she'll get a face of concern and say, "Uh oh, I pooped my pants." We'll say, "You did?" and then she smiles and says, "Just 'tendin!" and starts laughing. But not just any laugh, a deep low belly laugh in a gravelly man's voice. We unfortunately have also started laughing a few times and now she does it all the time.
While in our hotel in LV Libby got out of her bed in the morning and came over to Rob to snuggle. Rob said, "Hi buddy!" and she said, "No Libby." We started laughing and Rob said, "Oh your name isn't Buddy," She said, "Yeah my name Libby."
Yesterday we were driving in the car and Eliza discovered a mole on her neck. She said, "Is that an owey?" I said, "No, its called a mole." She keeps kinda picking it and says, "Is that a nipple?" I tell her again, "No it's called a mole." She disregards what I have said and exclaims, "That better not be another nipple growing on my neck!"
During breakfast this morning Eliza randomly said, "Where did the donkey go for Sunday night?" I said, "I don't know." She said, "To the wedding." I told her I didn't get it and she said, "It's funny because the donkey went to a person's wedding." She thought she was so hilarious.
"My toot!" is what Liberty says for "My turn," But what I think is funny about it is that she also says "I toot" meaning she tooted. And she always says it with a little mischievious smile.
I was talking on the phone today with Brandi about different names we could name the new baby and when I hung up the phone Eliza announced, "Mom I would like to change my name to Beautiful."
We were driving today and it was kind of cloudy outside. Suddenly Eliza says, "If a kid got stuck in a cloud that would be an emergency, right?" I told her, "Yes that would be." Kids are so random and funny.
Tonight I was sitting in the car with the girls waiting while Rob ran into Albertson's to get some apples. While we were sitting there two guys walked into the store and Eliza said, "Hot guys!" Surprised at what whe said I asked her to say it again and she said, "Hot guys!" again. I said, "You mean they look hot because they are wearing coats." She said, "No, like handsome." When Rob got in the car I told him the story because I thought it was pretty funny, but I didn't want to reinforce Eliza saying it so I spelled it out. Rob wanted to hear it for himself so he asked Eliza, "What did you say about those guys who walked in the store?" Eliza responded, "H-O-T." (this time spelling it out). Honestly she is just a little sponge. And I'm wondering where she heard "hot guys" in the first place.
A couple of nights ago we were talking about owies and why we need Band -Aids. We let Eliza know that you only need a Band-Aid if you are bleeding. But Eliza let us know that Ants drink up the blood when you get an owie. She has stuck to the story and when I asked her today about what happens to the blood, she said, "Ants drink it out (the blood). They drink on the bottom." I asked what color are they? She said, "Orange, kinda orange." I have no idea where she got this concept. But Rob and I laughed pretty hard.
Or don't say...A couple of months ago we were all in the living room and had just finished kneeling for family prayer and were giving each other a group hug. (Liberty of course is too little to sit and pray so she just plays during it). As we were still holding each other, I said to Rob, "Do you think Liberty feels left out sometimes." We looked over at Liberty and she was holding the barrel of a play gun in her mouth. (Apparently she does.)
We were driving in the car and randomly Eliza stated matter of factly, "I'm not going to be naughty anymore, I'm not going to be mean, I'm not going to eat my boogers, and I'm not going to touch my bum anymore."
Papa Bob was reminding us this weekend about something funny Eliza said to him while we were at Raging Waters for the Thomas Family Reunion. Eliza was sitting close to Papa Bob who was just in his swimming suit. She looked over at him and poked his pecks and said, "Nice milkers!"
On our yellowstone trip Abby got a nice little camping spot in Canyon Campground complete with clean toilets, fire pits and the like. I must have taken Eliza do the bathroom 20 times over 2 days. In the bathroom was warning sign about not approaching the buffalo. Eliza wanted me to read it to her each time we visited. Every time I read it I read it a little bit more exaggerated and dramatic then the last time. One time I finished and Eliza was squinching her face and blinking both eyes at me. I asked her what she was doing and she said, "I am giving you a blinker cause your kiddin' me dad."
On Eliza's 3rd birthday a couple weeks ago she was having a hard time understanding that the whole day was her birthday. So at night when she found out we were taking her to Chucky Cheese, she had a little analyzing to do to figure out why we were there. We used to take her to Chucky Cheese when she was potty training every time she finished a potty chart. So when she found out we were going she said, "I finished my chart... no, I am a good person."
Yesterday, Eiza got a new halloween accessory, a pig nose, in the mail. She tried it on and showed it off all over the house and then ran to the TV and turned it on. Abby said, "why did you turn the TV on." She said, "I got to show the people on TV my nose." Abby said they could not see her but Eliza did not believe her.
