Libby: I'll say it

Mazie: Alright but don't bless my food.  I want to bless my food.  Fine you can bless my food

Smiling Isabel

Isabel is a beautiful little girl , she is thinning out but up until now has looked just like happy Buddha ! She makes us feel happy all the time with her almost constant smiling. She is a very natural comforter and very loving .
I love this picture of her with Cheerios stuck to her head. It's a perfect example of her easy going manner.

Birth of Bobca (unnamed McMillen girl)

On Sunday morning the 17th I awoke to the news
from mom that she was having regular contractions and thought she was going to have you. We had early church and mom just got ready and went to church. She taught her primary lesson and I taught priesthood. The contractions subsided a little at church but then picked back up their every 10 minute pace for the rest of the day. Grandma Stevenson came over in the afternoon and helped make dinner. We put your sisters to bed, read section 7 of the Doctrine and Covenants and the began an episode of Downton Abbey. We didn't make it far in the episode as mom kept having contractions. At 10:05 she began having contractions every 5 minutes and they were very strong. She had me call Uncle Nate to come and get your sisters. Mom took a quick bath to help fight some of the pain while I packed bags for your sisters. Nate came over and grabbed your sisters and mom, grandma and I headed to the hospital. Mom's contractions seem to become more frequent and painful. As we entered the hospital mom was in almost constant contraction. We checked at 11:10. They put us in a real room, we later learned because the nurses had know doubt it was time to admit her. Your Mom's only comment through this was that she wanted an epideral as soon as possible

The nurse checked your mom, and I was quite excited that she was already dilated to between 6 & 7 centimeters. The nurse said that was sufficient to get an epideral but she also said if mom's water broke that you would be here and there would be no time for an epideral. It was a race to get mom's labs backs and get half an IV into her. I walked out after the Dr. came and asked if there was some way we could ask the lab to put mom's labs in the front of the line. The Dr. said they would just call the anesthesiologist when half the bag was in to see if he would give the epideral. The anesthesiologist showed up about 10 minutes later and your mom groaned as he walked in, "oh no the baby is coming." He walked out said on I will just wait out here. The Dr. prepared the bed to recieve you. I held one of mom's legs up with the nurse holding the other. Mom pushed once and we could see your head. Mom pushed again and you were all the way to the edge. At this point mom yelled get her out of me and screamed at the top of her lungs while she pushed your head out. She has never screamed like that ever before. It was funny because there was a first time mom next store who we were nervous might be scared, one more push and your shoulders passed and you came sliding out like a wet fish. You must have take a big breath of amniotic fluid on the way out because your first breath was quite girgly. You were born at 12:25 am on February 18th. One of the happiest moments of my life.
