We moved!

We now are city slickers! We moved to Salt Lake City last week and live in the PARC Gateway Apartments. It has its pluses and minuses. We are babysitting our two lovely furry friends again (Wojtek and Rudy) in exchange for some discounted rent. The first little while has been an adjustement. Cleaning and unpacking has taken longer than expected and I have allergies like crazy. I'm not sure if its the cats or the pollen but it is making me miserable. But it has been fun living right here in downtown. Eliza loves the waterfountains in the mall area. Liberty got squirted in the face so now she just enjoys dancing by the side. We also enjoyed some free Ben and Jerry's Icecream during their celebration and we can't wait to try out the Children's museum, all within our backyard.
We hope all of our good friends will visit us. We are excited to live closer to family but just like Eliza told her grandma and papa Coco, "I miss my Provo friends."Align Center
This is the garden area on the 5th floor where Eliza loves to ride her bike. You can see it out her bedroom window.

Happy April Fools Day!

I love this day. And every April Fools Day I try to come up with something really good to trick Rob. Last year, I pretended his old girl friend emailed him and invited to meet with him and go to lunch. I made up a whole new email address and he was totally falling for it. It was a pretty proud moment for me.
This year however I was not as successful. But I did trick Eliza (watch the video). I tried to trick Rob by pretending to fall and then having Eliza run and get him. When he arrived I of course was using perfect acting skills of acting "unconcious." However, Eliza was laughing and when Rob sarcastically said lets call 911, Eliza said, "No Dad, she's just pretending." Rule #1 never trust a 3 year old to help you with your April Fools Jokes. It was still a fun day and Eliza kept kind of lying to me and then would just say, "Just kiddin' mom, you know its that special day."

P.S. I would love to hear if anyone has any great prank ideas that I could use for next years big day. I love a good trick. My problem is I can only think of mean ones that I'm not sure the victim would laugh at in the end. So clean ones would be prefered. ;)

Burned on the Snowboard

Oh wow! Rob and I went snowboarding (using our Christmas gift passes, thanks Dave and Jen) and I really loved spring skiing. Its nice and warm and sunny! Yes very sunny, very very sunny. Did I say sunny? Well with that sun of course you've got to wear your goggles because its so bright. And you must wear sun screen.

We of course brought ours but never put it on and left it in the car. And this is what the math adds up to be...
Yikes. We look ridiculous!
