It was a great day! The night before Rob surprised me and brought home a new bike for me that I had wanted. We stayed up late that night putting it together. Eliza really enjoyed it. The next day, Eliza got to go to her friend Araia's Birthday party. Eliza loves birthday parties so this was extra exciting for her. That afternoon the girls and I delivered cupcakes we had made to a few special people. Eliza got a fancy chocolate rose from her daddy as a surprise! We also got lots of Valentine's cards from our extended family. Eliza loves getting things in the mail so this was a definite highlight. Then that night Rob and I went on a date. It was a crazy crowd as usual for dinner. We waited 2 hours. But during the wait we went a looked at cars which was fun. We ended up going with our friends the Gustins to dinner and laughed a lot. It was a great day. I love my family and friends and am so greatful to be surrounded by such great people.
P.S. My pictures somehow got deleted off my computer. I am so sad because I wanted to put the picture of my bike on :(

How lucky I am to be a stay at home mom!
Today I was trying to clean up the house and feeling busy and Eliza said, "Mom come to my restaurant!" I really didn't want to play then but I have been working on taking time for my kids and husband rather than the unimportant things. Anyways I sat down and boy was I glad I did. She would bring me pretend food and then skip away in total delight with a big smile on her face. (I wish I could explain this little dancing skip she would do but if you know Eliza I am sure you can imagine.) This moment brought a smile to my face and I could tell that this moment was one of joy for her. It just reminded me how lucky I feel to be able to be a stay at home mom and be there for the fun moments like this.

Green Eggs and Ham
So we were at the Library on Wednesday and I saw the book "Green Eggs and Ham" by Dr. Seuss and I remembered how much I liked it when we read the book in preschool and made it. So I decided thats what we would do. When I told Eliza she said "Yuck, no way!" But after we read the book and discovered that the character also didn't want to eat them and then when he finally did that he like them, she decided to try it out. And yes she liked it. Libby wasn't too sure even though she gave an encouraging hooray with green eggs on her face. It was a fun morning especially since daddy was able to join us!
The Zoo
Last week we went to the zoo with our friends the Sandersons and the Teemants. Rebecca and Maya are some of Eliza's best friends so she was very excited. It was kind of a cold day but we went because the zoo has a free day the last Wednesday of every winter month. We spent a lot of time in the humid dome where there were lots of tropical birds and turles. We were able to see lots of animals and we really enjoyed ourselves. Even Liberty really liked it!
